About me

Originally from England, I came to Australia to begin a new life down under in 2006. I trained in the UK as a Technical Draftsman in the field of Civil Engineering & continued that career choice in Australia before delving into the world of 3D Visualisation within the field of engineering. I really enjoyed the creative aspects of expressing projects visually which led me towards my true passion, games.

So, In 2012 I officially became an Australian and shortly thereafter felt the need for a change that would challenge both my technical and creative skills. It’s here where I took my first step into Game Design at Victoria University Melbourne. My second step however just two years later when I was offered an opportunity to work for a start-up (Black Delta Studios) on an exciting new Go-Karting title, KartKraft. The knowledge I gained in those early days through my talented peers and the need to consistently learn and adapt helped to shape my skillset in this new, exciting & fulfilling field.

My initial insights led me to really appreciate working with newer methodologies/technologies such as PBR and VR due to them offering both increased graphical fidelity and immersion.  As my career progressed with each new role and project, they too brought their own set of challenges. Whether it was the cultural accuracy of remastering Age of Empires III (Zero One Studio) assets, tackling Torque Drift’s (GreaseMonkeyGames) Mobile to PC aspirations, or even the complexities of working with licensed teams in the unreleased title of IndyCar (Motorsport Games) they collectively helped me improve as an artist via efficiency, collaboration, knowledge, and teamwork.

Games are my passion. Whether it’s creating a small prop, planning a track design, documenting processes or even sitting down with a little Rocket League. I’m keen to continue learning and exploring all avenues of game art as I look to improve and understand everything that makes a game great.

I hope you enjoyed this snapshot of my work and If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
